Procurement and Purchasing Executive
Job Description
Description of the Role:
Procurement and Purchasing Executive is responsible for sourcing of potential supplier and the task of processing the order by buying product or services and ensuring that supplier comply with legal services. This means it ensures the supply of goods, production materials and equipment so that a smooth production and sales process can take place. For this, goods must be procured at the right time, in the right quantity, and of the right quality.
Key Tasks:
- Sourcing of new potential supplier.
- Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets
- Obtain competitive quotation, ensure best products from the right source and best source
- Evaluate, negotiate and award orders to selected supplier
- Ensure materials and services timely delivered to requestor
- Track and record orders
- Prepare purchase and monitor orders
- Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures
- Organize and schedule procurements in a timely manner
- Communicate with vendors, clients, customers, team members, and managers to align goals
- Evaluate suppliers based on quality, delivery timelines, and price
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock availability.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant data.
- Handle day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring efficient storage and distribution of the items.
- Assist Store Department for inventory monitoring
- Arrange shipping for importing of goods and communicate closely to forwarder to monitor the status of shipments
- Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time as needed.
Requirements:
Education
- Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in any field
- Candidate with degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is an added advantage
Knowledge / Experience / Others
- 1 year relevant experience in procurement or purchasing
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- With Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience is a plus advantage
